Research confirms frequent and efficient use of mini cards
In a sample of 180 hotels in Amsterdam, of which 18 were randomly chosen, 250 random guests were interviewed on usability of the mini cards. Research results were as follows:
- 73.2 % of the interviewed have noticed the card.
- 60 % of which took one or more mini cards.
- Our of 106 people who took the card, 80.28 % visited one or more advertisers.
Because of mini cards, 1/4 of the interviewed people visited destinations which they were not previously planning to visit. 2/3 of which had the mini card with them when visiting the destination!
The table illustrates that mini cards are the second most common way for hotel guests to acquire information, right behind tourist guides. We can say that according to the research the mini cards are an important source of information for tourists.
